Heroes Welcome in Hampshire was launched by The Chairman of the County Council , Cllr Anna McNair-Scott at a special ceremony held in the Great Hall, Winchester on Armistice Day, 11th November, 2011.

Chesterfield Borough Council will be launching their Heroes Welcome scheme on the 7th November with Hampshire County Council following on with their official launch at 11.00am on the 11th November 2011 in the Great Hall Winchester. The Hampshire launch is very significant and will bring the Heroes Welcome message home to the many service personnel and families who live in this very Military County .

The Armed Forces Community Conference

The Armed Forces Community Conference was an excellent event and very well attended. The main thrust was delivering of the Armed Forces Covenant and it became clear that Heroes Welcome has an role to play in this. We were given a slot in the afternoon, alongside, Help for Heroes, the Hive and others. The Heroes Welcome gesture of a warm welcome, sticker and a smile was very well received by delegates and I am confident that we will be adding a host of new members very soon. So our thanks go to Helen, Lisa and the team from the MOD for organising this event.

Filey, Worthing and Guisborough

Armed Forces Community Covenant Conference

A team from Heroes Welcome UK will be at the Community Covenant Conference which is being sponsored by Local Government Association in London on the 1st November 2011. We will be manning a stand and taking part in the various workshops during the course of the day.
